If you are coming to the conference, try to spend a few extra days sightseeing – it’s worth it!   Here are some links that will be helpful:

Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau

Albuquerque Old Town and Museums, Art Galleries, etc

The Rail Runner Train from Albuquerque to Santa Fe
A deal at under $10 for a day pass that gets you from Albuquerque Downtown to Santa Fe. Ask if the hotel shuttle can drop you off and pick you up from the Albuquerque Downtown Station for a small charge.

The Sandia Peak Tramway
To the top of Sandia Mountain (10,378 feet above sea level). I advise acclimatizing for a few days first as the altitude can make you dizzy.

Acoma Pueblo Tour
The oldest continuously inhabited community in North America – home of the Acoma tribe and the Haak’U Museum. History and amazing views.

Santa Fe Visitors Website

Taos Pueblo
About a 3 hour drive from Albuquerque

Los Alamos
Home of the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos National Laboratory

Ojo Caliente
Natural springs and spas, if you want to relax.
